Christine

Christine started riding at Rainbow last Fall and right away was paired with Worthy. “I was paired with Worthy. He is absolutely amazing. Beautiful to look at and a pleasure to ride. He is patient, sweet and takes great care of his rider. He is also loving and a great listener - I tell him everything.” 

Christine has already learned many skills while at Rainbow, and she shares, “I have learned that I am capable of being independent. I can do it, I have learned to trust myself again.”

Her favorite part of riding is the way that it makes her feel. “Horses are majestic magical creatures, capable of healing the mind, body and soul.”

Christine shares, “Rainbow is a place to heal. It allows me to be whole again. I may be limited in some abilities on the ground, but on the horse I am free of any disability. I am free of limitations.”

We can’t wait to see all the things that Christine and Worthy will do together. They have a lot of great goals to work on. “I am presently working on regaining balance and coordination. After brain surgery I had to learn to walk all over again. Some days are harder than others - when the brain says one thing and the body refuses to cooperate. Worthy and Scottie are awesome teachers and I am perfect on Worthy. He’s giving me confidence back, my freedom.”
