Farm Highlight - Forest

“I am happy and calm after I come [to Rainbow],” says Forest, “Rainbow is special. It makes people happy.”

Forest started riding early last year and, after having to take a break while we were closed due to COVID, he is back on the horse now and loving every minute of it. 

He loves trotting with the horses he rides, but he is equally a fan of grooming and spending time with them in the barn. 

He has ridden every horse at Rainbow other than Jerry, but he has his sights set on riding the big draft horse sometime in the future. He is also working on trotting independently with a goal to get all the way around the arena on his own. 

His instructor shares that Forest is a joy to work with, “He is polite, thoughtful and inquisitive. He asks great questions!”

Forest is learning a lot here at Rainbow. He shares, “I have learned A LOT! I have learned about horse behavior and [that] they also have good days and bad days.  I have learned how to groom and learned to trot and post the trot.” 

He is well on his way to meeting his goals and we can’t wait to see how he continues to thrive at Rainbow!
